In general, a cross is a figure formed by two intersecting Line Segments.  In Linear
Algebra, a cross is defined as a set of 
 mutually Perpendicular pairs of Vectors of equal
magnitude from a fixed origin in Euclidean 
-Space.
The word ``cross'' is also used to denote the operation of the Cross Product, so 
 would be 
pronounced ``a cross b.''
