Harmonic Mean Index

The statistical Index

$$P_H\equiv {\sum v_0\over\sum {v_0p_0\over p_n}} = {\sum p_0q_0\over \sum{{p_0}^2q_0\over p_n}},$$

where $p_n$ is the price per unit in period $n$, $q_n$ is the quantity produced in period $n$, and $v_n\equiv p_nq_n$ the value of the $n$ units, and subscripts 0 indicate the reference year.
